Our Services – AG Autism Care
Our
  • Services
  • Solutions
At AG Autism Care, we believe in the inherent potential of each and every child.

We believe in offering comprehensive and compassionate services for your child based on identification of your child’s needs and strengths. Our services go beyond skill building and integrate generalization opportunities and transition planning to maintain outcomes with coordination of care with school based supports and other resources in the community.

We strive to identify strengths and to motivate and teach your child to overcome his challenges by using positive treatment interventions based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Intensive Behavior Intervention Support services are provided for children with significant delays and core behavioral deficits in the main areas of development (cognitive, communication, leisure and play, self care and social skills). Unlike other services, children participate in one on one intensive intervention with a behavior specialist, instead of a entry-level therapist.

For young children between the ages of 12 months to 3 years, the focus of our treatment plan is on building fundamental social skills and fostering growth in communication. This typically includes behaviors such as following directions, making eye contact, responding to their name, increasing attention span, sharing, fine and gross motor skills, and readiness for pre-school.

For children between 4 to 12 years, our services are based on customized behavior treatment plans developed with your child’s specific needs in mind. These plans are adaptable, and can provide support for a variety of environments: home, school, daycare, extracurricular classes, etc. The emphasis is on developing the social skills necessary to initiate and maintain social relationships across these settings.

For individuals 13 years old to young adulthood, our services focus on building independence with daily living skills, and developing the skills necessary for social communication, self regulation and management, executive functioning involving setting goals, planning, organizing and management.

We offer behavior specialist consultation services to assist with the IEP process and help design a comprehensive treatment plan to meet your child’s unique needs. We will accompany you to your child’s IEP as a consultant, we will work with school administration to advocate for your child’s needs, we will conduct FBA’s, and we will even personally train the school staff to facilitate your child’s success at school.

Our customized training program integrates the principles of ABA, equipping parents with the skills necessary to help their child on a daily basis. ABA has been proven to be effective with kids on the ASD spectrum, and through this highly individualized training, we will help you master these practical techniques. Training sessions can be as simple or elaborate as you prefer: from 15 minute mini sessions to hour-long courses with supplemental materials. We pride ourselves on offering hands-on training integrated into your ABA sessions as well as remote training options.

Social environments can be difficult to navigate with a child on the ASD spectrum. That is why we offer social skills support. We accompany you and your child to common social settings such as play dates, sports practices, extracurriculars, etc, to facilitate positive social interaction. We help your child with challenges like sharing, taking turns, initiating and carrying a conversation, becoming flexible, and tackling problems like losing a game. These interventions are aimed at ultimately building your child’s confidence in social environments.

Our services are not limited to those families who have children with a formal diagnosis. We understand that parenting can be challenging, especially in these times when access to social media complicates navigating social relationships. We offer practical solutions for common issues related to teen outbursts and meltdowns, motivating underachievers, defiance issues, and disrespectful, narcissist attitudes.
